Mission Union Pier: The Arrival

All parties in the Lauchermeyer Wagon were a bit nervous to arrive at a place called the Elephant Walk Cottages. We weren't aware of it...and if we were...trust me...it would have put us more on the edge, but there is a movie from waaaaay back when called 'Elephant Walk'. Here is a summary of this fine flick...tell me you wouldn't raise an eyebrow

John Wiley takes his new bride, Ruth to "Elephant Walk", a tea plantation in Ceylon which happens to be on the path where elephants roam. Soon Ruth discovers the truth about John's plantation and the effect it has on him. She then tries to leave him with the help of Dick but a cholera epidemic breaks, followed by elephants destroying the plantation. Ummmm.....whaaaaat?

Turns out everything was fine...actually, quite nice. Here is a visual tour of the grounds. We stayed in cottage 4 which had 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, and a main room/dining room/kitchen all in one. Having a deck to grill out on and relax was also a great bonus.
