Captain's Blog :: Starting Anew

It's time to start this blog back up! There are many a post to come to catch up on the Lauchard's family move from Columbus to Marietta, OH. This of course is the first one. Dad's been wanting a 4-wheeler since he was about 12 and the move was the perfect excuse. Thanks to Dave, I now own a 2006 Polaris 800. The boys and even Lacey have enjoyed taking some afternoon rides around to visit the neighbors. Finn looks pretty cuddled up here for his first ride!

Perhaps this will look a bit different in a few years, but what a beatiful backdrop to an early spring day. Behind is the new pond that was built. Next step for that pond is to add some fishy's to start growing!

FRIDAY, FRIDAY, FRIDAY!!!!!!

Connor got to hang out with his cousins Mac and Avery and uncles Alex and Derrick in West Virginia on a Friday night...however that was NOT the highlight of the night...the fact that we were at the friggin Monster Truck Show was...this show got miles...Connor is still talking about it!

Peanut Post: Birthday with Papa Joe!

Papa Joe and Lucille visited and brought the peanut a nice birthday cake from none other than Schuler's. We weren't quite sure, but turns out...Finn thought it was pretty darn good...and so did Mattie!

Captain's Blog: Dad Gets a Christmas Toy!

For Christmas, Dad got himself a 1981 Yamaha XS650 SH. It wasn't running, but he set out on a week's effort to get her going and lo and behold....it had some life left in it! This has taken Dad to a whole new level of cool in Connor's eyes!

Captain's Blog: Winter Fun

Connor is now a big pro at this, while Finn is experiencing the joy of sledding for the first time. Things went very well...the boy's favorite was riding down the hill with Mya in their lap.

Finnegan...HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY MAN!!!!!

A truly late, late post as I'm trying to keep my head above water. Mr. Finnegan turned 1 on December 29th, 2011. We are trying to get used to the birthday, the 29th being right in the middle of Christmas and New Year...but it gives us more excuses to hang out with family and friends!!!

Finn, you are growing up to be a smart, handsome little man! We love you!

The Lauchard Christmas 2011: Christmas Morning!!!!

This was the best Christmas that Lacey and I can remember. The excitement, joy and anticipation that we both had in waiting for the boys to wake up was great! The boys didn't disappoint either...they both were so happy and excited that all of their hard work in being good paid off.

First....coffee please....

Second...make Lacey think that she got a motorcycle for Christmas....

Third.....pandemonium!

The Lauchard Christmas 2011: Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve Eve (yes, the day before Christmas Eve) was all about the Lauchard family this year. After spending time with Papa, we headed over to spend some time with Nan, then back to our house to prepare for Santa's arrival!

The family came over for some Christmas Eve shepherd's pie, gift opening and cookie making! Needless to say, the Lauchard boys thoroughly enjoyed this.

Joanna can lift 1/2 her body weight!!!!

The Lauchard Christmas 2011: The Beginning

The Search for Pinky

Santa sent a letter to Papa this year asking for the help of all the grandchildren. There was a lonely Christmas tree that needed brought in from the cold and planted in the cabin until Pinky could grow big enough to get back into the cold. The kids were troopers and tracked that tree down, took him tot he cabin and decorated him. Pinky was safe and warm.
