Well, another weekend of trying to put my house back together. Into every project I wonder 'what the heck were you thinking', but I always remember that when it's finished, I'll be happy.
Last I updated, there was merely a washing machine room wall missing. Well...don't think that I've been idle! Just to remind...here is what the guts of the mudroom did look like.

So, I started removing cabinets and wall board and...well, everything. Let me show you why most people should refrain from working on their house. This is a picture of what was in my kitchen wall. There is a live wire just hanging out (these should go in a junction box), and there is a live wire plugged into an outlet which is then plugged into the microwave (again...everything in boxes please!).
Also, instead of moving this outlet to the wall board, the outlet was extended out of the box with copper spacers...3 words...in-a-propriate.
After all of the demolition, this is what Lacey is now living in...sorry Lacey!
Enough ranting Dad...so, what have you done to fix all of this!?! Well, we have moved the garage door towards the back of the house about 3 feet (to reduce the gridlock of the original entry location). We also rewired the appliance outlets, rerouted some bad wiring and removed all known fire hazards. Also this weekend, we moved the toilet in the half bath to the garage wall, ran new water lines and venting for a sink in the half bath. We moved the washer water lines to the back wall, reran all venting and water lines for that, and finally, moved the slop sink to the garage...yup venting and water lines needed there as well. We made some really good progress, but there is a lot still to do! Here's where we are:
